We may already be able to answer your questions about renting a procedure room
In Class II procedure rooms, invasive procedures or surgical interventions with a low risk of wound infection may be performed. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that only procedures meeting these criteria are carried out.
For guidance, the list of the Bavarian Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Bayern). is used. Procedures are divided into three categories:
- Category A (operations) in an operating theatre,
- Category B (invasive procedures or operations with a low risk of wound infection) in a procedure room
- Category C (invasive measures or procedures with an even lower risk of wound infection) in an examination or practice treatment room
Accordingly, procedures in Categories B and C may be performed in a Class II procedure room.
If reusable instruments require sterilization, this must be arranged independently by the user or through an external service provider outside the ETERNO location. Limited storage of sterile goods is possible on-site.
Users are permitted to bring specialized equipment required for procedures by prior arrangement. ETERNO assumes no liability, maintenance, or servicing responsibilities for equipment or medical products brought in by users.
Lockable storage space is available for consumable materials. Storage of larger quantities is only possible by prior agreement.
A designated disposal room is available for users to deposit waste. Waste separation must be carried out in accordance with the hygiene plan. Waste is collected and disposed of daily by the cleaning service provider.
ETERNO ensures regular basic cleaning once daily by a certified cleaning company in compliance with applicable hygiene requirements for procedure rooms and bears the associated costs.
Between procedures, the user is responsible for cleaning and disinfection. For this purpose, the user is granted access to the cleaning supplies room.
When renting a procedure room, hygiene responsibilities are shared between ETERNO and the user.
ETERNO is responsible for general hygiene organization within the ETERNO Space and has established a general hygiene plan. This includes ensuring daily basic cleaning of the procedure room in accordance with applicable hygiene standards, with costs borne by ETERNO. In addition, ETERNO has implemented a separate hygiene plan specific to the procedure room infrastructure.
During the period of use and while performing procedures, the user is responsible for ensuring compliance with all hygiene standards required for the procedure. This includes cleaning and disinfecting the room, instruments, and equipment independently or through personnel under the user’s direction.
The user is explicitly responsible for pre-, intra-, and postoperative hygiene when renting a procedure room. ETERNO does not monitor or supervise the user or personnel under the user’s direction.
By renting the procedure room, the user acknowledges these responsibilities and agrees to comply accordingly.
Yes. The procedure room is certified for both privately insured (PKV) and statutorily insured (GKV) patients.
