Preventive colonoscopy is a highly effective measure for the early detection of colorectal cancer. During the examination, polyps that may represent precancerous changes can be detected and removed safely, gently and typically under sedation. This not only enables early diagnosis but also helps prevent the development of colorectal cancer.We recommend colorectal cancer screening from the age of 50, or earlier if symptoms are present or there is a family history indicating increased risk.
Liver diseases frequently develop without noticeable symptoms. Dear Patient,
I am pleased to welcome you to my consultation practice for internal medicine and gastroenterology in Frankfurt Westend. With more than 15 years of clinical experience, as well as extensive teaching and research activity at renowned institutions such as Hannover Medical School (MHH), Giessen University Hospital (UKG) and Jena University Hospital (UKJ), I have continuously deepened my expertise in internal medicine, gastroenterological patient care and interventional endoscopy.
I currently serve as Head of the Gastroenterology Section at the renowned Krankenhaus Nordwest in Frankfurt, where I am responsible for the gastroenterology and endoscopy departments.
In my practice, I treat the full spectrum of digestive diseases – from the oesophagus to the stomach, intestines, pancreas, bile ducts and rectum. I provide comprehensive diagnostics and individually tailored therapies. In addition to my focus on therapeutic endoscopy, I place particular emphasis on preventive care, especially colorectal cancer screening, as well as the treatment of chronic inflammatory bowel diseases.
Personal care and prompt appointment scheduling are especially important to me. I offer short-notice appointments with minimal waiting times. Endoscopic procedures are performed at the hospital when required, ensuring access to state-of-the-art technology and the highest level of medical expertise.
